Overview
BloomMS is a GMS-Like v99 server that captures the nostalgia of one of the earliest post-Big Bang versions, while backporting modern quality-of-life changes to improve the overall Maple experience. Bloom is completely free to play with no pay-to-win.
Classes run all the way to the Chaos patch: Resistance, Explorers, Knights of Cygnus, Aran, Evan and Dual Blade.
General Changes
- Evan's Dragon items and Mechanic spare parts can no longer receive potentials.
- Secondary weapons and shields can only receive potential from fusing or crafting.
- All 5 professions (Mining, Herbalism, Smithing, Accessory Crafting, Alchemy) can be learnt on a single character.
- Profession items no longer require recipes to craft.
- All Party Quest NPCs are relocated to the Cross PQ map.
- Secondary stat requirements have been lifted from all items.
- Von Leon, Timeless, Empress and Absolab staffs are set to Fast speed, matching Elemental Staff.
- Boss pre-quests are account-bound — swap classes without redoing any of them.
- Multi-client is disabled (except during Beta). Bypass attempts or running the client in a VM will be actioned.
- Avoidability is capped at 999 for balance.

Skill Changes
With the level cap raised to 275, every class except Cygnus Knights ends up with spare SP past a certain level. To make use of it, those classes have 2–3 core skills raised from level 30 to a maximum of level 40.
EXP Curve
To ease the mid-game grind, the EXP curve climbs gradually up to level 200, bringing players to a comfortable bossing level. Between 250 and 275 the rate tapers off to protect progression longevity while keeping every piece of content reachable.
Account-wide bonuses stack as your first characters hit each milestone:
- First level 200 character → +3x on the curve for levels 1–200, account-wide.
- First level 250 character → +2x on the curve for levels 200–250, account-wide.
- First level 275 character → +1x on the curve for levels 250–275, account-wide.
Spawn Rates
A dynamic mob spawn scaling system adjusts monster count based on the map's size and the level of its monsters. Larger maps spawn more mobs, and respawn timers are faster. This results in quicker, more engaging training and fresh meta spots across a range of levels.
These maps get boosted spawns regardless of size or level:
- Temple of Time
- Lionheart Castle
- Dark Ereve
- Knight Stronghold
- Twilight Perion
- Veracent/Vampire Castle
Drop Information
Global drops scale with monster level range and are not affected by any drop buff or multiplier. Individual monster drop tables have been revised to closely match post-Big Bang, so equipment that drops matches the monster's level range.

Potential & Enhancement
- Secondary weapons and shields can only receive potential lines from crafting or fusing.
- Cubing does not require manual magnifying past the first reveal — press Space to process a cube.
- Potential tiers and lines follow GMS: the first line is always a prime line, with decreasing odds on subsequent primes.
- Tiers cap at Unique in this version, but items level 121–200 can roll 12%–15% instead of the default 9% cap.
- Star Enhancement Scrolls further improve a fully scrolled item, adding +2 to +6 to existing stats. Only weapons gain Attack / Magic Attack.
| Scroll Type | Star Range | Stats per Star |
|---|---|---|
| Regular Enhancement Scroll | 1 – 5 stars | 2 – 6 |
| Advanced Enhancement Scroll | 6 – 10 stars | 3 – 6 |
| Liberated Items unlocked from Kerberos | Up to 15 stars | 4 – 6 |
Party Quests
The Crossworld PQ map is reached from the Free Market entrance, through the portal under the Storage NPC. Paul is there to help you find members with a free server-wide mega, on a 5 minute cooldown.
PQ Points are awarded on completion, with a weekly one-time bonus on your first run of the week, resetting Monday 2AM server time. Spend them on rate coupons, pet vacs and more.
The Featured PQ is announced by Paul and rotates hourly at XX:05, with a 25% chance of granting 2x points.

Bosses & Expeditions
The core content of Bloom.
- Boss entries are limited by a weekly count, resetting Monday 2AM server time.
- Dying drains the expedition timer by 30 seconds — 60 seconds at Tier 3 and above.
- Players can rejoin via an invite system, pulled back in by remaining squad members, without losing damage requirement progress
- Forfeiting or failing puts the whole squad on cooldown: 1 hour for early and mid game bosses, 24 hours for end game.
- Boss Points go to every squad member still alive. Some bosses give instanced rewards with a random amount per player.
- Maximum expedition size is 6.
- Squads gain an extra 5% BP per member beyond 3, up to 15%.

Understanding PDR & IED
Bosses have PDR — damage reduction. Your IED subtracts from it point for point. Whatever is left cuts your damage, and it bites harder the bigger the gap.
- IED cancels PDR one for one. 40 IED against a 50 PDR boss leaves 10 effective PDR.
- Every point of IED is worth more than the last. Going 40 → 50 IED on a 50 PDR boss is a bigger gain than 0 → 10 was.
- IED above the boss's PDR does nothing. You do not gain bonus damage for exceeding the required amount to deal full damage.
Vitality Elixirs
HP washing is no longer necessary. Defeating entry bosses like Zakum and Horntail awards instanced rewards on completion — everyone alive receives a unique Elixir in their Cash tab.
Each character can consume each Elixir up to 5 times, gaining maximum HP and MP along with +2 All Stats.
| Elixir | Non-Mage | Mage |
|---|---|---|
| Zakum / Horntail | +500 HP, +100 MP | +400 MP, +100 HP |
| Chaos Zakum / Horntail | +1,000 HP, +200 MP | +600 MP, +200 HP |
Each Elixir starts at a 60% success rate, dropping 5% with every successful use.
Achievements & Bonuses
Alternate routes to power, so progression isn't just endless map hoarding. Account-bound stats accumulate from Achievement Points earned by completing specific requirements, applied directly to the Achievement Book that every character equips on creation.
- Every 200 Achievement Points → +2% Weapon Attack and +2% Magic Attack, applied as potential lines.
- Every 100 quests completed → +1% All Stats, applied as flat stats based on your current stats.
- Every day of vote streak → +2 All Stats, +1 Jump and Speed, capped at 15 days.
Party Bonus & Leeching
- Anti-AFK checks prevent players receiving EXP while away.
- Party EXP is split 90:10 in favour of attackers, making leeching far less appealing.
- Every additional active party member grants +20% bonus EXP, stacking with maps that have party play bonuses.
Guild Wars
Contribute Guild War Points (GWP) to your guild through the week. Standings reset every Monday alongside the weekly reset.
The top 2 guilds each week receive Guild War Rings, lasting 7 days. Only members who completed their weekly task are eligible.
| Source | GWP | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Guild Party Quest | ||
| Guild PQ clear | 20 per member | No weekly limit |
| Bonus stage: Arcanus per body defeated | 5 / 10 / 20 / 35 | No weekly limit |
| Weekly Missions — 100 GWP cap per member | ||
| Regular PQ run with guild mates | 1 per guildmate | Counts toward cap |
| Boss raids cleared with guild mates | 1 per guildmate | Counts toward cap |
| Grinding | 1 per 5,000 mobs | Counts toward cap |
Winning guilds are announced and displayed in the Guild War tab on our Discord.
